Meeting of adoptive parents in Orsha. What to give to children to eat?

Adoptive parents meeting was held on 13 of September in Orsha. The parents had invited representatives of local administration and press to tell them about every day intractable problems, that adoptive families have. Representatives of Republic Association “Hope to children” and ISA “Good will” had also taken part in meeting. Volunteers of Good will had also brought a help for children from Orsha – food products. As it has turned out, food products assistance was very helpful.

The problem number one - what to give to children to eat?

The problem is not only in that reason, that it’s unreal to provide children with allowance. Since august 2011, it looks like the allowances have been increased. But, as it has turned out, the increasing had touched only allowances for own children. Adoptive children were forgotten.

In addition, Orsha - is a border town. Many russians come to Orsha for shopping. If to change russian rubles to belarussian, according the commercial rate, the prices in shops for our neighbors seems just funny. Shelves in stores become empty with a high speed. City authorities decided to fight with massive removal of goods by usual way – banning. According the decision, only one kilogram of product can be sold to one man for one time. The families with children were not cared. What should large families and parents of adoptive children to do? 1 food kilogram for family is obviously not enough.

Orsha’s meat combine – against export of meat production to Russia.

Orsha’s meat combine has also found an original way of fight with meat production export to Russia. It started to supply the production to shops in afternoon – because of by this time russians go home. And queues for meat, according to parents words, keeps since early morning to buy products in afternoon time.

Many times the parents had appealed to city executive committee with a request about an exception for large and adoptive families, but their needs have not been heard.

So, the question “What to give to children to eat?” in Orsha stays very sharply. Beside the fact that allowances do not accord to today’s prices, also, it is not always possible to buy something for this money.

Recovering of the children.

The parents had also touched a topic about the recovering of the children. Summer has gone, but not everybody had used their right for holidays. This situation is characterized not only for Orsha, but for many other Belarus cities.

Unfortunately, the administration has not answered to troubling questions adequately. When the representatives of the city executive committee hear a criticism to their address, they had left the meeting without giving some answer.

After some time group of policemen had come to meeting place. Journalists, which were at the meeting were checked about documents by police, and then police had gone without any remarks.
